presents not droping this year instead it a auto inventory
so what do porple think about this,
there is some good reason and bad
good is less lag and you can afk the whole day and get prsent not have to worry about missing it
bad is you cant wait 10 min pick up every one elses presents
but i think anet made a good one this time , yesi would like to have picke d up allthose afkers prsents up, but im stilll happy i can afk the whole day
i dont know how many yetyou get but i got 6 so far i am thinking 10 to 30 total each person, but it might depend on how well the dist did for the game
edited -----------------------------post your prsents rate with score no screens please----------------
ok folks can we put score up and how many presents you got

I want it back the way it was last year (first fest) not this BS cause some ppl are to slow to click there presents, or autoassigned leading to 1000s of presents cloggin servers from AFKers. Guess I stayed up to loot the first round when no one was on for no reason.

I got 11, no idea how my dist did, but I'm pretty sure we won, lawl (O.o a Grasp mask)
Edit: and now I have 12 :O I'm assuming they're still dropping then... remind me not to troll guru so much, and actually play the game, although there's not really much you can do while sitting in a corner ring spending 3-4k/hour on a meaningless title xD

I like it. Sure I was planning on swiping things from the AFKers. But it also means that the idiots who thought it was fun to try and sabotage our charge-running don't get the chance to swipe from AFKers either.
And that makes me happy. As long as the jerks are getting shafted too. Then it's a win situation
*Leaves her 2nd account afking in a quiet corner while the primary runs charges <_<*
It seems you get 1 every minute? Have 13 in my inv now and Kisu's gone away. So yeah. Not too shabby ^_^. Added with the 30 or so tokens I got from running charges. Not bad!

I think it was a good move, not as exciting as past events when you had to scramble for presents as they fell from the sky. Yet its boring but fair to all so no complaints. I'm afking on ring of fortune to get my unlucky title maxed and was surprised to see presents in my inventory.

I think it's great. I can AFK rings while I sleep tonight and get a few more dozen presents.
Remember, average statistical value for a gift is ~150g.

Yea I remember that, my sis got really angry because we were in a really secluded district, and it was pretty much me and her, I think i got like, triple the presents she got because I had a sugar rush and kept swiping the ones near her first xD

I prefered "assigned drops on the floor" method as it rewarded those that were actually there to take part in the event over afk'ers

I like the auto-inventory feature this year
We got around 300 points and about 10 gifts.

The toons on both of my accounts got 13 presents each. Opening up the 13 on one account yielded 1 bean cake, 1 rice wine and 5 tokens 11 times. Hmm, seems as if the nerf bat has hit festival prizes too
Part of the fun about the presents was watching them drop and then waiting to pick up the AFK'ers prezzies. While this method is more fair, it's a lot less fun.

I don't mind. During the other events, I would just make my friend's little brother pick up all my crap and the AFKers' crap.

I love it! Can go AFK and still get the loot. PLUS (and this is the big one for me), there will be a TON less drama about presents this way.

On balance, this is better. It's a shame the community couldn't be more sensible about the original "game" version, but this is better than the assigned system.

its fairer, and better to afk in the morning
in the first event (not reducc) i got around 30-60 presents per 2 hours event or so (camped 1 spot in a low pop. dis, only against 1 or 2 other people )
i like it auto-inverntory as opposed to being an eyesore in the district.

Well it seems that the presents werent really based on how well your district did in the game. 4 members and I of the same guild sat in the same district. We won the contest 317-152. One member got 23 gifts, one got 17 gifts, one got 15, and two got 12. All of us stood right next to eachother during the drop. The members with 12 and 23 gifts didnt compete in the game, the rest of us did. So Id say there was no rhyme or reason to this years drop rate.
GG Anet for allowing the afkers to recieve their gifts without being stolen by others, allowing the ones with slow computers or lack of speed boost to recieve their gifts...However, next time you might want to make it so everyone gets the same amount or its really no different than unassigned drops again. But hey, anything free is good, I suppose afterall, so why complain.
